TAMIL NEW YEAR (VISUVAAVASU) SPECIAL POOJAA – Sunday, 14th April 2025
To welcome the Tamil New Year (of Visuvaavasu), special abishegam and poojaa will be held at the Sri Kandaswamy Temple on Monday, 14th April 2025, starting at 2.30 a.m. The New Year Special Poojaa will begin at 4.59 a.m., followed by the reading of the New Panjaangam (Almanac) regarding the forecast for the year and blessings by the Chief Priest of the temple, followed by New Year greetings by the Temple President and the distribution of Pirasaadham.
At 7.30 a.m., there will be Sooriya Ponggal and Aadhithya Poojaa, followed by the distribution of Pirasaadham. All devotees are welcome to participate in the ceremonies and obtain the grace of Sri Sakthi Vel Perumaan on this auspicious day.
