For the first time in the history of Malaysia, a Hindu temple has been featured on a postal stamp, and we’re honoured to announce that SRI KANDASWAMY KOVIL POSTAL STAMPS are now on sale! In its ‘Rumah Ibadat – Places of Worship’ initiative, POS MALAYSIA chose to feature 5 religious institutions – a mosque, a church, a Buddhist temple, a gurdwara, and a Hindu temple – on its latest series of stamps, and Sri Kandaswamy Kovil, being one of the oldest temples in Malaysia, is now featured on RM0.60 stamps. Head over to your nearest post office and grab a piece of this historic moment for yourself! If you would like to have our official seal stamped on your sheet (as seen in the picture), come on over to our temple office during working hours* and we’ll be happy to stamp your sheet(s).
